The Partner program: earn cash for referred subscribers
The Partner program pays you cash commission when someone you refer subscribes to a paid plan. You share a referral link or a promo code, and you earn 20% of what that subscriber actually pays, on up to twelve of their invoices. It is separate from the credits-based referral program, which awards bonus credits rather than money. You apply, manage your link and see your earnings in Settings → Partner program, and the full terms are at /legal/partner-program.
What is the Partner program?
It is a paid partnership for creators and streamers who want to promote PrismPoster. When a person you refer becomes a paying subscriber, you earn 20% of every payment they make, for up to twelve invoices — a year of monthly payments, or one annual payment — after which that customer stops earning. The share is calculated on the amount actually collected, so any discount reduces it, including the one your own promo code gives. This is different from the credits referral program, which gives you bonus credits when a friend joins: the Partner program pays real money to your PayPal.
How do I join?
You apply from the Settings → Partner program tab, which also tells you whether applications are open right now. The application asks for your channel links, your main platform, roughly how big your audience is, your country, your name and the email address on your PayPal account, whether you are VAT-registered (most hobby creators are not — if you are, we ask for your VAT number, because it goes on the commission statements we issue with each payout), and the promo code you would like.
Every application is reviewed by a person. Nothing is created for you at the point you apply — no link, no code — and acceptance is not guaranteed. We look at whether your channel is a real fit for a creative-tools partnership. If you are approved, your referral link is issued and the promo code you asked for is minted for you, and both appear in the same Settings tab. If you are not approved you will see that there too.
How does referral tracking work?
Once you are approved you have two ways to send people to PrismPoster, and both credit you:
- Your referral link — share it in your stream, video description, bio, or posts. A viewer who clicks it and subscribes within 60 days is attributed to you. (Arriving through the link sets a first-party cookie that only PrismPoster can read and that is never shared — see cookie consent and privacy choices.) Your promo code credits you as well, including when someone subscribes on a different device.
- Your promo code — the code you named in your application, which gives the viewer 10% off their first month on a monthly plan. It applies to their first payment only, and it is not offered on annual plans. You get one code per partner, so pick something memorable. A viewer who redeems it at checkout is credited to you.
When and how do I get paid?
Each commission is held for 30 days before it becomes payable. That window covers the EU right of withdrawal and the refund period, so a commission is never paid out on a subscription the customer can still unwind. If a referred payment is refunded, charged back, or withdrawn, the commission attached to that payment is reversed.
You ask to be paid — nothing is pushed automatically. Once your available balance reaches €50, a Request payout action appears in Settings → Partner program. You confirm your name and the email address on your PayPal account, and the request claims that balance so PrismLabs OÜ can send it. Below €50 the balance carries forward until it clears the threshold.
Payouts are sent through PayPal, to the email address you give us. You do not need a PayPal account at the moment you give us the address — PayPal invites you to claim the payment — but a payout left unclaimed for 30 days returns to us, and the commissions it covered go back to your available balance so you can request it again. We never ask for or store your bank details. We cover the transfer fee, so you receive the full amount of your payout. You are responsible for any tax on your commissions.
Each transfer is sent by hand, so there is no fixed payout date. You will see the payout move from requested to sent to paid in the same tab. If a transfer is returned — most often because the address was wrong or the payment went unclaimed — the money goes back to your available balance and you can request it again with corrected details.
Settings → Partner program shows your referred subscribers, commission still inside the hold period, the balance available to request, anything currently in flight, and everything you have already been paid. It is the same ledger we pay from — there is no separate partner site to log in to.
Do I have to disclose the partnership?
Yes — this is mandatory, not optional. When you promote PrismPoster as a partner, you must clearly disclose the paid partnership every time: in each stream, video, and post where you share your link or code. This is required by advertising rules including the US FTC endorsement guidelines, the UK ASA/CAP code, and EU consumer and unfair-commercial-practices law. A visible, plain-language disclosure (for example, "paid partnership" or "#ad") satisfies it. Failing to disclose can breach those rules and the program terms. The full obligations are in the Partner program terms.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is this different from the credits referral program?
The Partner program pays cash commission — 20% of what each referred subscriber pays — to your PayPal. The credits referral program instead awards bonus credits to your account when a friend joins. They are separate programs with separate rewards, and the same referral does not earn both.
How much is my promo code discount, and how many codes do I get?
Your code gives the referred viewer 10% off their first month, on monthly plans only and on their first payment only. You get one code per partner, and you name it in your application.
Do I earn on every renewal?
Yes, up to a point. You earn on up to twelve invoices per referred customer — twelve monthly renewals, or a single annual payment — and after that the customer stops earning. It is a year of their subscription, not the lifetime of the account.
Do I need a PayPal account?
Not to apply. Give us the email address you want to be paid on, and if there is no PayPal account on it yet, PayPal invites you to claim the payment when we send it. Claiming does mean opening a PayPal account, which is free. A payout left unclaimed for 30 days comes back to us and returns to your available balance, so nothing is lost if you take a while.
Am I guaranteed a place if I apply?
No. Applications are reviewed by hand and acceptance is at our discretion. You must also be at least 18 and living somewhere we can lawfully pay you.
Do I really have to say it's a paid partnership?
Yes. Disclosure is required by FTC, ASA, and EU advertising rules and by the program terms. Disclose the paid partnership clearly in every stream, video, or post where you promote PrismPoster. See the Partner program terms.
