How do I set up the OBS audio widget?
Creator Cast has one OBS browser source: the OBS audio widget, which plays approved songs from your Fan Song Queue through your stream. It only ever plays what you have already approved — it is an output surface, not a bypass.
How do I add the OBS audio widget?
It is a browser source, the standard way OBS displays web-based stream graphics. Copy the exact URL from Stream Setup → Go-Live kit, either from the OBS audio widget card under Widget URLs or from the configurator below it, where you can style the widget and preview it first. In OBS, add a new Browser source, paste the URL, and set it to 1920×1080. Turn Control audio via OBS on, and leave Shutdown source when not visible and Refresh browser when scene becomes active off — either one will reload the widget mid-song.
You can also copy the same URL from the Song Queue's Stream output panel.
Will it play songs before I approve them?
No. A song reaches the widget only after you approve it in the Fan Song Queue. Submitted-but-unapproved songs do not play.
Is there a fan clip overlay?
No. Fan clips do not render onto your stream through a browser source — they come back to your review queue, and you play the ones you approve yourself from the Clip queue, in the app. Nothing plays on a stream surface without you pressing play.
What do I put on my channel?
The Go-Live kit gives you a Twitch panel image to download, sized to the 320px Twitch serves panels at. In Twitch, go to About → Edit Panels → Add a Text or Image Panel, upload the image, and paste your fan page URL into the panel's own Image Links To field — the panel image is the button, so the address is not printed on the picture. The kit gives you the panel title and description to paste alongside it, and the panel downloads whether or not your fan links are open, so you can set the channel up before you go live.
A Twitch social link reaches further than a panel and takes ten seconds: Twitch shows up to five on your profile, and the kit gives you a ready label and URL for one.
How do viewers reach my fan page?
Viewers submit on your public fan pages — the chat commands post those links and the live status in your Twitch or YouTube chat, and the Twitch panel and social link carry them on your channel page. To connect the streaming accounts the gates rely on, see connecting Twitch and YouTube.
Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of OBS source is the audio widget?
It is a browser source. You add it in OBS the same way you would add any browser-based stream graphic, then position it in your scene. The exact URL and recommended settings live in Stream Setup → Go-Live kit.
Can I use it in software other than OBS?
Yes. It is a standard browser source, so it works with any stream software that supports browser sources. The Creator Cast documentation calls it the OBS audio widget wherever it appears.
Can I control the queue from a Stream Deck or an OBS dock?
Yes. The free PrismMusic Live plugin on the Elgato Marketplace puts Go live, Play/Pause, Next, Previous, Volume, and End session on Stream Deck keys, and the same access token powers an OBS Custom Browser Dock — no login needed inside OBS. Generate the token from the Stream Deck & OBS dock access card in Stream Setup → Go-Live kit or the Song Queue's Stream output panel.
