Why does PrismPoster mark AI-generated content?
Every file you export from PrismPoster carries a machine-readable provenance mark embedded in the file — on every export and every plan, including Free. It records that the content was made with AI, and it travels with the file wherever you send it. Video you render from the timeline editor additionally carries a C2PA signature, a cryptographic provenance credential. Neither is gated by plan tier, and there is no setting or upgrade that removes either one.
PrismPoster does not render a visible AI label into your exports. The frame you download is clean; the disclosure lives in the file's metadata.
Why mark exports at all?
Because provenance is the layer a tool can actually guarantee for you. A machine-readable mark lets platforms, verification tools, and downstream systems identify the content as AI-made without depending on anyone remembering to say so. It also keeps your work aligned with transparency rules like the EU AI Act, which requires AI output to carry a machine-readable signal. For the full mapping, see EU AI Act Article 50.
Does PrismPoster put a visible label on my exports?
Only on likeness content. Work made or edited with a real person's likeness carries a visible “AI-generated” or “AI-enhanced” badge in the bottom-right corner, on every plan. Everything else exports with a clean frame and carries the embedded mark only. If a badge is not where you expected, see I can't see the AI badge on my export.
That means the human-facing part of disclosure is yours. When you publish something that depicts a real person realistically, say so — in the caption, and using the platform's AI-content flag where it offers one. Most large platforms now ask uploaders to declare synthetic media, and under the EU AI Act that disclosure duty sits with the person publishing, not with the tool that generated the file.
Is the marking the same on every plan?
Yes. Plan tier changes what you can generate, how fast, and how much you can store — not how your output is marked. The embedded provenance metadata is mandatory on Free, Creator, Pro, and Apex alike, and the C2PA signature on rendered video exports works the same way. It is a transparency measure, never a paid perk and never a branding watermark you pay to remove.
Does the mark change how my content looks or works?
No. Your exports are standard server-rendered files — images and video in landscape 16:9 or portrait 9:16, and music as an audio file — with a clean frame. The provenance signals live in the file's metadata rather than in the picture. PrismPoster does not post for you; you export and ship manually.
